About This Microchallenge
A part of living and learning on campus is learning in the small moments, often in the most informal moments and spaces…the middle of the night conversations, the builds, the programs. Remember how much learning happened in the houses when you had the chance to flex your leadership skills? Student leaders are the cornerstone of house life at MIT, cultivating a connected, engaged, and vibrant community through active governance and community programming. Our Residential Leadership challenge will support programs, such as CPW, and Residential Exploration (REX), and provide opportunities for peer leadership and learning in our houses.
Residential Leadership is rooted in our belief in MIT students to lead—through immersion, imagination, and shared responsibility. Funds will support and strengthen the practices and training that cultivate rigorous, adaptive leaders consistent with Alan J. Wilson's '82 vision. Your gift during the 24-Hour Challenge will support MIT residential leaders who lead by doing, through efforts such as REX, CPW, and DormCon inter-house initiatives.A word cloud generated during our orientation experience with first years, asking what it would mean to have a successful start to MIT.
*If you do not see a particular fund listed, you can donate on the MIT giving site and still be counted in the MIT 24-Hour Challenge.
