About the Muslim Students Association

The MIT Muslim Students Association (MSA) is a student-run organization representing Muslims from a diverse set of backgrounds. The MSA is a close-knit group, assisting MIT Muslims with their practice of Islam and providing a sense of community on campus. Throughout the year, we host a variety of events, ranging from academic to social to spiritual. In addition to community building, we also work with the Muslim chaplaincy to advocate for the needs of Muslim students.

During the holy month of Ramadan, the MSA continues to support Muslim community members as we fulfill our religious obligation to fast. To ensure that everyone has access to nourishing meals after sunset to “break their fast” (eat once the fast has ended for the day), spiritually enriching programs, and the chance to convene in a welcoming environment alongside those who share their faith, the MSA organizes and provides Iftar dinners every evening of the month free of charge. We strive to provide high-quality and authentic meals that reflect the diversity of our community, despite the higher costs such specialized catering tends to incur. Your generosity helps make these dinners possible—any contribution is greatly appreciated!

Jazakum Allahu Khayran! Thank you for your support!
