About This Microchallenge

Join the MIT Press 24-Hour Challenge to Expand MITops—our rapid, open, community publishing program! If 100 donors make a gift to the MIT Press Open Access Fund, then generous donors Michael Dornbrook ’75 and Richard Anders will give an additional $10,000.

About MIT Press

Our 24-Hour Challenge will fund one of our biggest innovations: MIT Open Publishing Services (MITops). MITops provides rapid, flexible publishing support to ensure transformative ideas and research from MIT reach the largest audience possible.

These recent MITops projects meet researchers and students where they are:

  • The MIT Case Studies in Social and Ethical Responsibilities of Computing from the Stephen A. Schwarzman College of Computing. About one-third of all MIT undergraduates encounter these original SERC materials in their courses every year.
  • An MIT Exploration of Generative AI: From Novel Chemicals to Opera. Coauthored by interdisciplinary teams of MIT faculty and researchers, the papers represent a sweeping array of perspectives on the transformative potential of generative AI.

Gifts to the MIT Press Open Access Fund (#3664125) will not only count towards the challenge, but will also be matched by the Arcadia Fund—doubling your impact.

*If you do not see a particular fund listed, you can donate on the MIT giving site and still be counted in the MIT 24-Hour Challenge.
