About This Microchallenge

If 100 donors give to the MIT Hobby Shop during the MIT 24-Hour Challenge, Debra Slocum SM ’89 and Professor Alexander Slocum ’82, SM ’83, PhD ’85 will make a $10,000 gift to the shop.

About the Hobby Shop

The Hobby Shop is all about learning by doing! It provides a place for the entire MIT community, regardless of major or experience, to work with a wide range of well-maintained machines and tools and to receive instruction, as well as practical design and building advice. Projects can be academic or personal, serious, or just for fun. The Hobby Shop offers classes and collaborates with the faculty in many departments to provide their students with shop facilities and instruction for building projects.

*If you do not see a particular fund listed, you can donate on the MIT giving site and still be counted in the MIT 24-Hour Challenge.
