About This Microchallenge
If 150 donors make a gift to support the Independent Residence Development Fund (IRDF), $50,000 will be unlocked from the 484 Phi Alpha Foundation, the charitable foundation of the alumni of MIT’s Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
About IRDF
The Independent Residence Development Fund (IRDF) is unique to MIT: The fund was established by alumni in 1964 to provide financial support to MIT’s FSILGs (fraternities, sororities, and independent living groups). The IRDF provides low-interest loans and grants for educational space and equipment, safety and accessibility improvements, and historic preservation of FSILG residences. Each year, every FSILG is eligible to receive an educational operating grant from the IRDF to support its educational mission.
