Environmental Solutions Initiative (ESI)

The Environmental Solutions Initiative (ESI) is MIT’s Institute-wide effort to address climate change and other environmental challenges of global import. ESI research programs unite MIT faculty with communities and policymakers in high-impact areas, including mining, pollution abatement, natural climate solutions, and just economic transitions from fossil fuel production. The group also prioritizes climate education through housing the environment and sustainability (E&S) minor and Climate Justice Instructional Toolkit (CJIT).
