About MIT Edgerton Center
Since its founding in 1992, the Edgerton Center has empowered thousands of students to pursue their passion projects. These projects range from solar-powered vehicles, to rockets that reach the edge of space, to PVC sports wheelchairs. Along the way, they advance their skills, both hard (machining, coding, welding) and soft (planning, collaboration, resilience).
Your gift helps us:
• Support the 20 engineering teams our MIT students lead
• Operate and maintain our network of makerspaces for the MIT community
• Provide hands-on STEM outreach to K-12 students and professional development to their teachers
We are fortunate that we get to work with these extraordinary people. We are looking forward to a great year ahead!
